BASIL THOMAS BRYANT
Basil was born on 1.6.24 at Toogoolawah and grew up on the family property becoming an accomplished horseman and motor bike enthusiast and endured the results on the inevitable accidents that happen. He moved to Brisbane and worked as a diesel fitter and construction engineer for Hornibrook. He married Elaine in 1955 and settled in Ashgrove where they raised three children. He moved to Winchcombe Carson where he designed and installed irrigation systems throughout Queensland. Elaine passed away in 1983 and after retirement he moved to Warana and joined QAM and The Foot Sanctuary at Buderim. Basil engaged in much restoration work becoming Operations Manager and Building Project Manager responsible for the construction of Hangar 2. In latter years he struggled with failing sight and passed away on 12.9.07.
