Ordered on behalf of the Royal Australian Navy by the British Air Ministry as part of order for 39 Sea Venoms under contract 6/Aircraft/7561/CB 7(a).

Completed at the de Havilland Aircraft Company Ltd., Christchurch.

Taken on charge by the Royal Navy and transported to the Royal Naval Aircraft Yard at Abbotsinch.

Taken on charge by the Royal Australian Navy and cocooned for transport to Australia in HMAS Melbourne.

Arrived at Garden Island Dockyard, Sydney.

Transported to HMAS Nirimba.

Transported to Hawker de Havillands, Bankstown for fitment of ejection seats and other modifications required for RAN service.

Flown to RANAS Nowra and taken on charge by No 805 Sqn.

Retired from service. Subsequently sold through Dept. of Supply to Sydney Technical College and painted in a white/green/black colour scheme.

Acquired by the Camden Museum of Aviation.

Purchased by QAM.

Arrived at Nudgee on RAAF truck from Richmond.

Trucked from Nudgee to Jindalee for repainting.

Repainted for display at Hooker Centenary Westlake Estate.

Transported to Brisbane Airport.

After receipt of a Qld. Govt. grant for restoring a Sea Venom, WZ910 was dismantled for restoration. At this time the tailbooms were transferred to WZ898.

Transported to Caloundra where it is stored dismantled.

A QAM Special General Meeting approved the deaccessioning of this aircraft.
