Usually flew along the foreshore from Point Vernon at one end to Urangan at the other end - 500 ft over water, then Toby's Gap (The old Dillingham sand miner's gravel strip in the centre of Fraser Island inland from Dilli Village towards the bottom of the island). Would have been a touch and go landing/take-off here. Usually trying to land and take-off towards the east unless a strong westerly was blowing. After that across to the now closed strip beside the Bruce Highway at an area called Glen Orchy about 10 kilometres south of Maryborough. This strip required a constantly turning to the right final approach due to trees, the close proximity of the highway and power lines". (Source: 7)
