Home to nearly 100 aircraft, Queensland Air Museum has developed into Australia’s largest and most diverse aviation museum, with a focus on Australian Aviation history. This has been achieved through acquisitions and restoration of historically significant aircraft.
In the words of one of our latest visitor’s Chris, Queensland air museum is a “great collection of aircraft. The F111 was a highlight, great access to all the planes on display and friendly and helpful volunteers”.
Queensland Air Museum offers a unique experience for Sunshine Coast tourists who are seeking a cultural and historic tourism experience with a broad appeal to all ages and backgrounds. Our offering is unique; there are not many museums that allow visitors to get up this close and personal to displays.
A recent innovation has been to open Queensland Air Museum up to Corporate and other after-hours events including ‘Hangar Dances’ several times each year. The dances are attended by 200+ patrons.
