Birthday Parties at QAM
The Queensland Air Museum is now available as a venue for birthday parties. The Museum offers a unique opportunity to entertain your guests amongst our historic aircraft. The Museum can accommodate groups up to a maximum size of 50 (not including supervising adults). Parties will need to be self-catered although tables and chairs will be provided. Power and an electric urn are also available if required.
Parties are usually held inside Hangar 2 under the nose of the DC-3. If the weather is fine and it’s not too cool or hot you might prefer to setup on the grassed area adjacent to the DC-3 and the nearby toilets.
|Maximum Capacity||50 children.|
* Payment can be made on the day by cash, credit card or EFTPOS. We require one bulk payment for the entire group, thank you.
|Age Limits||There are no age limitations. This facility is available to “kids” of all ages up to 100 and beyond.|
|Catering||Provided by customer (BYO).|
|Liquor||Consumption of alcohol is not permitted on the premises.|
|Hours||QAM is open every day except Christmas Day from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Most birthday parties usually take the form of a morning tea.|

|Access||Guests have normal access to all exhibits. This doesnot include cockpit access although the cabin of the Caribou and the Viscount nose section will be open for inspection. “Herbie the Helicopter” is also available for junior flyers and minders who can’t resist! Please note that Tour Guides are not provided for birthday parties.|
|Cleaning||Customers are required to remove any decorations and ensure that the allocated area is clean and tidy at the conclusion of the party. Tables and chairs and other QAM supplied equipment will be removed and stored by QAM volunteers. Please be mindful that QAM is run entirely by volunteers. We have no paid staff.
Please note that a refundable Holding Deposit of $50.00 is payable prior to your event at our Museum. It will be refunded following completion of your event, subject to us being satisfied that our premises have been left in the same condition and cleanliness that they were in prior to your function and that no other damage has occurred as a result of or by members of your function.
